Do Telma And Amlovas Elevate The Uric Acid Levels?
I am 48 yrs old BP patient and have been taking medicines from last 07 yrs. I take Telma H in the morning and Amlova M 5/50 in the night. These medicines have not shown any visible side effects in the past. Recently I had swollen big toe and pain in ankle which seems to be due increased level of uric acid and suspected Gout.
Kindly confirm whether use of Telma H and Amlovas M 5/50 contribute towards increased level of uric acid or not? If yes, what are the precautions / medicines do you prescribe for me to keep the uric acid level under control.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if Telma and Amlovas elevate the uric acid levels. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like DiureticDrinking too much alcohol.Hypothyroidism or protein rich diet . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Telma and Amlovas are not known to cause elevated uric acid level. Doctor may order urine test . Doctor may ask uyou to drink plenty of water , eat fresh fruits and green vegetables and stop taking protein rich diet . Doctor may also prescribe drug like allopurinol .
