Do Travoprost And Azopt Eye Drops Cause Hair Growth On Cheeks?
hi I m using two eye drops travoprost and axopt my eye Dr told me that the reason my eye lashes are longer because of those drops, lately I ve notice some hair on the top of my cheek below my eye ,I sometimes miss the eye and it runs down my cheek ,can this happen.
Hi & Welcome to HCM. I can understand your concern regarding the safety of the prescribed medications for glaucoma. In addition to causing blurring of the vision, eye redness/discomfort/itching, stinging or burning of the eyes Travoprost eye drops can also cause increase in eyelash number/length/thickness, darkening of the eyelashes and the eyelids or hair growth on the cheeks.
Azopt (Brinzolamide) eye drops can cause temporary blurred vision, double vision, drooping eyelids, bitter/sour/unusual taste in your mouth, dry eyes, temporary discomfort/itching/redness/burning/stinging of the eye, or eye discharge. Its use is not known to cause hair growth either in the eye lashes or on the cheeks. Hope this answers your query.
