Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Hydrocodone is Opioid drug and Xanax is a Benzodiazepine drug. Both drugs are controlled substances and cause receptor level changes in brain. If we consider pregnancy then theoretically any drug during pregnancy is harmful. Taking both these drugs may cause dependence in your foetus and it may result in severe withdrawal symptoms post delivery. Xanax can even cause effects on developing foetus if taken regularly in high doses. 2 mg dose of Xanax is high. I'd advise you to report your medicines status to your obstetrician and ask for consultation of a psychiatrist. If doses of these drugs are reduced gradually then your baby will be fine and will not develop withdrawal. Consult a psychiatrist for dose reduction.

Thanks, I hope this helps you.

Take care
