Do Abrasions In Penis Head After Anal Sex Suggest STI?

A few abrasions on the penis head and more under the skin, were not there yesterday, had anal sex with female with condom earlier today, unpleasant odor under the foreskin (probably needs to be washed), wore no underwear with my jeanshorts too for quite sometime. No pain, swelling, bleeding, discharges, discomfort, itching, or heads on these marks. No marks on shaft, testicles, or pubic region. Doubtful it s an STI but want some sort of opinion while I wait to go to the doctor tomorrow.

Hi,

Presence of abrasions on the penis head or under the skin may be due to the friction of sexual act and particularly, because these are present only on the head of penis. Also, as there are no pain, swelling, bleeding, discharge, discomfort or itching etc. on the head of penis, likelihood of STD may not be there.

However, different STD's have specific window period, before which the test is not positive. Therefore, if in doubt, then you may opt for the test of various STD's after the specified window period post sexual exposure. The window period for various STD's are as follows:
* HIV - 15-90 days
* Chlamydia - 1-2 weeks
* Trichomonas - 1 week-1 month
* Syphilis - 1 week to 1 month
* Gonorrhea - 5 days-2 weeks
* Herpes 1-4 months
* HPV - 3 weeks to 6 months
* Hepatitis B - 3-6 weeks
* Hepatitis - 2-6 weeks

Getting yourself tested before the window period will not give you any positive result, even if you are having specific STD.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
