Do Allergies Cause Paleness In The Face Of A Child?
Hello my name is Crystle. i have a 7yr son. All the sudden his face looks really pale. I took him to the dr. they sent us for blood work. The results showed that his iron levels and everything else was pretty good. The only thing they found was he looks to be suffering from allergies. They suggested an allergic panel. But would allergies cause the paleness in his face?
Paleness of the skin is commonly due to anemia. Other factor can be seasonal allergies or stress, hypothyroidism or kidney issues.
The treating doctor can assess for symptoms & then get the required investigations done to detect the cause.
However, sometimes the skin is naturally pale if that's the case do not worry. Try to analyse if your son is tired or stressed up. Give him nutritious food, adequate sleep.
Inadequate exposure in the sun also may cause the skin to get pale. Help him stay active.
