Hi, I recently had a full blood count and the receptionist has asked me to repeat the test in a month sue to the White cells being slightly low. I take a lot of antacids and recently had a course of hep b injections. would these be of any cause? Many thanks
Good day and thank you for posting this question. No, Antacids do not reduce white blood cell count neither do hepatitis B vaccine injection. A repeat of the white blood cell count in a month's time is OK and we will be able to compare. It might be an error from the laboratory. I hope it helps. Thank you.
