Do Antibiotics (clarithromysin) Hinder Effectiveness Of Implanon Implant?

I am on the implanon implant, and had a spell of unprotected sex last night, I wouldn t be worried if I wasn t on antibiotics (clarithromysin) which I have heard can stop the implant from working! Is this true? He ejaculated inside me, and I m scared.

Hi,

Clarithromycin does not interact with implanon and does not cause contraceptive failure.

You can safely continue clarithromycin.
