Do Antibiotics For UTI Delay Menstruation?

I am taking sprintec birth control daily. I went on vacation for 4 days and left my birth control here which started my period. I contacted my doctor and asked if it was okay to start back. I took the medicine for 3 days and then had sex. For one week I was very nauseous after. After that I have been feeling very good. 2 days ago I had a UTI and I am starting antibiotics today. My cycle should have started today. Could the antibiotics for the UTI be causing it to be late? I also have endometriosis and ulcers.

Yes antibiotics sometimes leads to a delay in periods but not all of them. NSAIDs also delay the periods.

But to be on the safe side, if delayed more than 7-10 days, you should go for a laboratory test (beta-hCG levels in urine) for pregnancy, or an ultrasound by your OB/GYN will let you know all.

Endometriosis also may lead to delay in periods.
