Do Bleeding And Abdominal Pain Post Intercourse Indicate Bruised Cervix?
So after intercourse 3 days ago I started to experience very sharp abdominal pain and it hasn't stopped I also started bleeding that night and it's pretty heavy bleeding and my period is not due for another 2 weeks. Also I did have some pain during inter course... Is it just a bruised cervix?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... As your period is not due for 2 weeks, this bleeding most probably indicate injury to cervix. This mostly occurs when you have vaginal dryness or less vaginal lubrication. In this case, You should use lubricants during sex. As you had discomfort while sex, less lubricantion is most probably cause of bleeding in you. Other reason of bleeding from cervix is some abnormality in cervix. In case of cervix abnormality, even gentle sex can cause much bleeding. Cervix problem normally arise due to sexually transmitted infections such as HPV.
If you have never got a pap smear test done previously, You are advised a pap smear to ruleout a cervix problem.
Refer to a gynaecologist. Hope this information helps
