Do Blue Eyes Have Different Pigment Layer Beneath It?

Hi, i recently read about this new treatment that makes it possible to change brown eyes blue, the reason why you can do it is just because that brown eyed people has a blue layer beneath the brown one, so i was wondering if it's the same with blue eyed people, do they have any other pigment beneath the blue one, or is the blue pigment like the last one in the eye, so if u would take that away you wouldn't have any pigment at all, i've read about people having brown spots in their blue eyes, so is that just a layer on the blue one, like as if the blue one is the buttom pigment

Respected user, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.
* Eye color variation can be explained by Polymorphism around the OCA2 gene
* Eye color comes close to being a monogenic Mendelian trait when it comes
to inheritance .Expression of blue eyes is recessive, you need 2 copies.
* This in explanation of in born blue eyes & now about your query
@ Laser procedure can turn brown eyes blue
- Laser works by eliminating the brown melanin that`s present in the
anterior layers of the iris .
- Fundamental principle is that under every brown eye is a blue eye ,
Dr.Gregg Homer told CNN adding that there is no actual blue
pigmentation in the eye .
But still long term medical data are awaited with details of procedure
safety & outcomes , many critics say it is reckless .
@ I would personally suggest to use a tinted contact lens of your desired
color rather than ending up in all these jugglery .

Respected user, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.
There is no such different extra pigment layers with blue eyes , actually
Melanin , the brown pigment molecule that colors your skin, hair, eyes had
not been fully deposited in the irises of your eyes giving it blue color.
* Getting blue eyes is inborn decided through genetic traits .
* Artificially getting blue eyes are being offered by Laser treatment where
they remove melanin containing layer of the iris but still long term data
are awaited with safety measures of it changing brown eyes into blue
ones .
* Best way is to get Lenses of desired color rather than ending up in misery
