Do Cold, Cough And Shortness Of Breath Need Medical Attention?
I got sick with a head cold then a really bad cough that hurts and gives me shortness of breath. After my coughing spell of 1 minute to 5 minutes I feel light headed and faint. I have been having issues sleeping and have been waking up all sweaty. Should I be going to my family doctor or just keep taking cough meds?
Consent a pulmonologist for further diagnosis. Respiratory wheezing sound give idea about respiratory problems.
You are not mention a color and consistency of cough that help in diagnosis. After sputum culture test if needed than start a antibiotics under doctor's suggestion .
Do a complete blood cell, chest x ray for further diagnosis.
I hope my guidance helpful to you.. Take care. Thank you.
