Do Contraceptive Pills Cause Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding?
Hi, I'm 18 years old and sexually active. I've been on the contraceptive pill for quite a few months but not quite a year. I skipped my period twice in a row and decided not to this month, however my period has now lasted 11 days and I started taking my pill again 4 days ago. Is this normal or should I be worried? (My periods usually last between 5-7 days)
Hi I think it can be a side effect of the pill as you have taken it continuously for 2 months. You can take some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. Take your pills normally this cycle and don't skip your periods frequently. Hope it helps.
