Do Delayed Period With Diarrhea And Cramps Suggest Pregnancy?
Hi ive been having some cramps for couple days they come and go but no bleeding i usually get my period on tha 28th of each month i had some spotting then went to a lil bright red only for couple days diarrhea and am very tired wanted to know if i could be pregnant
Hello and welcome to HCM, Cramps with diarrhea are not suggestive of pregnancy. Cramps with diarrhea are more suggestive of gastrointestinal upset. Gastrointestinal upset can be due to infection. Thus, I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and prescription of antibiotic for gastrointestinal upset. Menstrual cycles can get delayed in healthy menstruating women so there is nothing to worry. However, mid cycle cramping and spotting can occur and this is due to ovulation. Tiredness is not a symptom of pregnancy but tiredness can occur if you are having anemia or low hemoglobin. Thus, complete hemogram is also suggested to check the hemoglobin levels.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
