I have alot of blood in my stool today. I drank last night ,this is not the first time its been happening for the last 6 months but I have noticed it is worse when I drink alcohol. I only drink on special occassions maybe once every few months. what do you think is the cause of all this blood loss?
Alcohol can worsen gastro-intestinal bleeding as it irritates the lining of the gastro-intestinal tract. It also impairs liver function which is necessary for the proper blood coagulation. Vitamin deficiencies can also contribute to this. In my opinion, you should not neglect this and see a doctor.
Best wishes.
