Do Fatigue And Yellow Stool Of A Child Indicate Hepatitis-A Symptoms?
We returned 5 days ago from a trip to the Maldives and my 7 year old son, since our return, has had yellow poos. He is more tired than usual but mainly well in himself (good colour, no temperature) bar a few nosebleeds which he hasn t had since last year. Could it be a sign of Hep A? We cannot get to a D for 4 days as they are closed for Easter long weekend. Is there a risk to him to have this untreated/undiagnosed for this time frame?
hi yellow stool doesn't means hepatitis A. yellowish discoloration of skin ,mucous or eye (sclera)means hepatitis. for hepatitis A or E (or any other) there will be rise in liver enzymes (SGPT & SGOT) ,BILIRUBIN will be increased in the blood and there will be one of the complain of fever, abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting etc.
