Do Headaches, burning And Cold Sensation In The Arms And Back Require Consultation?
HI i just started experiencing nonstop headache and burning in my mid upper back that will not go away. I feel spacey and have cold sensation in my left arm to my hand. This has started since last week with what i though were tension headaches. It has became worse and now has me popping XS Tylenol all throughout the day. I will not have medical ins for about another week but need to determine if i should go to an urgent care till then??
Burning is an abnormal sensation and may be due to neuropathy which is abnormal function of the nerves. It can be temporary or permanent and there are different possible causes such as--(1) low levels of vitamin b12 or folate (2)diabetes (3)thyroid disease (4)liver or kidney disease (5)abnormal levels of vitamin b6 (6)infection such as shingles (7)exposure to toxins (8)neurological conditions such as stroke, ms
In some persons the cause is not found.
The presence of a severe persistent headache if there is no previous history of severe headaches, should be assessed as soon as possible
I hope this helps
