i have hashimoto thyroidistis and my tsh levels usually stay between 3-4 and my antibody levels are high 300-500... i want to have a baby so my doctor said i should be on a low dose levothyroxine .25mcg.....should i take that and is high antibodies have a risk for birth defects
Hypothyroidism can lead to birth defect. So to avoid that you need to take levothyroxine. But before that check your T3, T4 and TSH level once and start treatment accordingly. Don't worry about antibodies.
