Do High Antibodies Levels Cause Birth Defects?

i have hashimoto thyroidistis and my tsh levels usually stay between 3-4 and my antibody levels are high 300-500... i want to have a baby so my doctor said i should be on a low dose levothyroxine .25mcg.....should i take that and is high antibodies have a risk for birth defects

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You have hashimotos thyroiditis. you may also have hypothyroidism.

Hypothyroidism can lead to birth defect. So to avoid that you need to take levothyroxine. But before that check your T3, T4 and TSH level once and start treatment accordingly. Don't worry about antibodies.
