Do Intake Of Antibiotics Lead To Rise In ALT And Bilirubin Levels?

I had a deer tick in late June 2014 in my right testicle. I took three weeks of the antibiotic recommendation and no subsequent effects. Recently my AST and ALT levels have been rising quickly (never had elevated levels previously) and my bilirubin levels are also elevated although not as much. I am 74 years old in very good health and active physically (tennis, bicycling, gym work and, in the summer, kayaking). I am presently only taking prescription medicine for a hypo thyroid.Could this be due to a latent effect from the deer tick? Thanks --- Ron Gutmann

Some antibiotic are hepatotoxic which may be the cause for rise in your liver function test.
It is also possible with levothyroxin which you are use for hypothyroidism.
Levothyroxin also alter Liver Function Test.
