Do Kidney Stones Cause Soreness In The Urethra?

pretty sure I had kidney stones again,,,ive had them before but when a woman passes them does it make her sore at the urethra,,think I spelled that right, I hope it passed as the back pain is gone and urinating better now and feel much better guess its a dumb question,, just checking and hoping it did,,don t like the surgery for them

Yes, passing stones may cause soreness at the urethra. Soreness may also occur if there's a urinary infection.

Treating kidney stones is not always by surgery. Medical treatment can be used to dissolve or prevent stone formation.

Regarding your past history of stones and your current complain, it's advised to have a urine analysis and kidney ultrasound. Early detection and treatment of urinary infection or stone can be confined to oral medications.
