Do Light Red Color In Joints With Slight Curvature Suggest Onset Of Arthritis?
I have a family history of osteoarthritis; both parents had bilateral knee replacements. I have had approx.1 5 yrs. of sore knees. swelling & crepitus, made better by walking to strengthen leg muscles, use of over the counter glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM & watching my weight. About 4 months ago I had great soreness in my left pinky (DIP joint) after heavy gardening. Over time I noticed stiffness in the joint, joint swelling , occasional light reddish color in the area & slight curvature of the joint. Also have had 6 months+ of hive-like rash over my trunk and into scalp. Recent X-ray showed no fracture or ligament damage & suggestive of arthritis. Does rash and other symptoms go together? Should I see a Rheumatologist?

Your symptoms are suggestive of heamarrthrosis.It could be secondary to bleeding disorders or joint pathology.Get Pt inr,clotting time,bleeding time and bone scan.thankyo
