Do Loss Of Appetite And White Stools Require Medical Attention In Infants?
Hello Dr. My Daughter is 3 years old and off late she has stopped eating or eating very less. Today we have observed that she is passing white motions. One of the doctors had given her lysatone syrup to improve her hunger which we have started yesterday. Please advice.

Passing white stool with loss of appetite might be due to some liver problem like infective hepatitis, jaundice.
Go for liver function tests like S. bilirubin, SGOT, SGPT and urine test for bile salt and bile pigment.
Also see for yellow sclera and passing deep yellow colr urine.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
