General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of Hashimoto's disease. Discoloration of the face occurs commonly due to thyroid dysfunction. Get treated your thyroid disorder, once treated you will feel better and it will also help to get relief from many other symptoms you are going through. Neglect will only result in worsening of the symptoms. Stay away from stress and addictions if any. Low thyroid level causes reduced kidney function, hence blood filtration and fluid balance become impaired.

Puffiness of the face, swelling around the eyes, in the hands and ankles can be reversed after low thyroid is treated, it also responds to the use of diuretics. Get treated Raynaud disease. Since you are having swollen glands and pus in the throat, consult an ENT, you need to take a course of antibiotics (Augmentin) and Tylenol, one sos when needed for relief. Gargle with salt water 2-3 times a day. Take liquid food and avoid talking, give voice rest so that you get relieve from discomfort.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
