Do Nasal Sprays Cause Loss Of Smell And Taste?
I’ve had a bad cold for 3-4 days. Went to my doctor and he prescribed the antibiotic Doxycycline Hyclate (100mg, 2x per day) and Afrin Nasal spray. After returning home, taking one pill and using the nasal spray, I soon realized my sense of smell and taste were completely gone. That was on Thursday, could smell a bit for a short span this morning, still no taste and again, no sense of smell. Could the nasal spray have caused this? I’m getting worried. This has never happened before. Thank you
