Do Pubic Hair And Underarm Odor Indicate Any Disorder In A 4-year-old Girl?
my 4 year old granddaughter has about 4-6 pubic hairs, is experiencing acne on her forehead and her mother insist that she has an underarm order which is controlled by deodorant. She says that our doctors in this small town say that it s just from all the steroids in the food these days but I m concerned it may be something else.
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns. I hope I have answered your query. This is definitely indicating some hormonal issue and further tests should be done to clear this out. It is not usual for such small girls to have these body changes and steroid imbalance is possible cause but other endocrinological problems may be present as well. So you need to see pediatrician and check her hormonal levels. I dont think this is caused by food andm ore likely there is some genetic determined issue which should be investigated. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
