SHE CONSULTED PHYSICIAN YESTERDAY AND THEY TOOK A CULTURE OF HER THROAT, NO MEDICINE GIVEN. TODAY SHE WENT TO URGENT CARE SHE IS HURTING SO BAD, THEY SAID IT IS SINUSITIS. THIS DOES NOT SOUND RIGHT TO ME.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The symptoms what your daughter is having tells that she is having bacterial infection of sinus and upper respiratory tract. Kindly do the following to overcome them. 1. Salt water gargling with warm water thrice a day. 2. Use steam inhalation to liquefy the mucous for easy drainage. 3. Take mucolytic-decongestant medications in the form of syrup containing Ambroxol/Bromhexine, Guaifenesin and Chlorpheniramine maleate as ingredients. 4. For headache and body aches, take Tablet. Paracetamol with Ibuprofen combination after food. 5. Take medicated lozenges for throat soothening effect when necessary. Strictly avoid consumption of cold items like cold drinks and ice cream. Kindly wait for culture report and then an appropriate course of antibiotics can be instituted. She should get better by following the above measures. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
