Do These Medicines For Afib And RLS Lead To Drug Interactions?
I take Eliquis, Apixiban, Digoxin, Metoprolol for Atrial fibrillation. I also take Atorvastatin for high cholestrol.I may be prescribed Sifrol, Lyrica or Gabapentin for periodic limb movement & restless legs leading to sleep loss. Are there any serious interactions? My email address is YYYY@YYYY
Based on the history you have shared, rarely SSRIs used for RLS can trigger abnormal heart rhythm but you are using beta blocker for A fib which is also helpful in RLS. Also, that Gabapentin alone may be sufficient along atrial fibriltion medicines.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
