Do Thyroid Nodules Grow Back After Surgical Removal?
Hello. I had thyroid nodules. It was two of them at the lower end of my thyroids. Laser surgery to remove the two spots was not bad at all. I had it done at 7am in the morning and I was held at the hospital until later that evening. I am on Iodine to make sure the area is clear of the nodules. Today I feel so much better. A little sore ,but glad it was not cancer. Do you think they will come back any time soon. I am 62 and I don t want to go through this again.

Thyroid nodules can regrow. Consult a general surgeon and plan for a fine needle cytology to confirm the diagnosis and to rule out malignancy.
You can go for thyroidectomy (removal of the entire thyroid) which is considered as the best option.
