Do Thyroid Problems Make It Harder To Get Pregnant?
Hi,I am 29 yrs old.i have been trying to conceive through IVF procedure.but recently,my doctor found that my TSH level was high(3.97).my doctor prescribed thyronorm12.5mg,now my tsh level is below normal range.its now 0.013.but my Free T3 is normal(1.07) and free T4 is also little high(2.08)what should i do?
Hi, The doctor has prescribed you thyroxine as you were planning for IVF and TSH is above 2.5. But now with lowest dose thyroxine your TSH is low. If I were your treating physician I would have stopped the thyroxine tablets and followed up you after 1 month with thyroid function tests and anti TPO antibodies. If TSH is above 2.5 I would re start you on thyroxine.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
