Do Twinges In The Lower Abdominal Area Suggest Pregnancy?
I had unprotected sex on the 10th of this month. I started feeling twinges in my uterus area and when I looked up online it said it was a sign of pregnancy. My periods are irregular so it's hard to tell when I should take a pregnancy test and actually get accurate results. I got my period or what I thought was my period the day after we had sex but it wasn't as heavy and only lasted one full day and two days where kinda a little more the sporting. Plus it was a brownish discharge. Do you think I'm pregnant and when should I test?
Hi, I think if you had bleeding after the contact, there is very less chance of pregnancy. You can do a pregnancy test after 10 to 14 days of last unprotected intercourse. If your periods are irregular, you should go for evaluation first. Do a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries. These will tell you if there is any hormonal problem. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Brown discharge can be due to some vaginal infection. Get a pelvic examination done to rule that out. You may need some antibiotic and antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal. Hope it helps.
