Hello and welcome to HCM! I have read your question and my answer would be as follows: Yes, it is very likely that you are pregnant. HCTs are less acurate in the first days of pregnancy, but thereafter the accuracy of HCTs increases considerably because by this time the hormonal changes are being firmly installed, the level of detectable pregnancy hormones increases and so it is easier for the HCT to detect such an elevated level of hormone. The fact that HCT resulted negative two weeks before is related to the false-negative properties of the test and could be due to several reasons such as not using the right portion of urine, using the test too early, not using a high specificity test, etc. Specificity refers to the ability of the test to rule out a pregnancy and the less the above rules are being taken care the lower the specificity or the higher the false-negative rate of HCTs. Since the last HCT resulted in two pink lines, and because you have some signs and symptoms suggesting pregnancy and your period is dealyed, then you have a very high chance of being pregnant. Just to confirm, please repeat the HCT (it is cheap) and if it comes positive again then the pregnancy could be confirmed. Hope I answered your question! Best!
