Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son got his 1 yr vaccinations on Monday. (flu and chicken pox) on thurs he spiked a fever up to 103.7. I called his pediatrician and she said the fever was due to his shots. Fever was gone by Fri am. Now Sat, he has small rash like bumps around his face and stomach. Is this from the shots as well? Should we take him in or let it run its course?
Hi Welcome to the healthcaremagic Chances of fever with the vaccines received by your child are very minimal. Fever because of vaccine never lasts beyond 48 hours. So in your case vaccination as a cause of fever is unlikely.According to history given by you it looks viral fever and skin rash as viral exanthem. They are self limiting. Happy to help you Best regards
