Does 5% Opening In Uterus Mouth Cause Any Problem?
Hi..I am 15 weeks pregnant. I had vaginal bleeding at 12 weeks.during Internal checkup,my Dr.said the uterus mouth is open a bit .my placenta was low lying and cervical length was 3.2 cm that time.internal OS is closed.she said stitches are required. Now at 15 weeks , I had early anomaly scan. ACC to the reports ,placenta is up and the cervical length is 3.3 cms.internal OS is closed.now my Dr again did an internal checkup and said that the uterus mouth is 5% open and stitches are required. I consulted another Dr and she said as internal OS is closed and cervical length is also normal,no stitches are required. I am confused as to which Dr to be followed.
As of now no stitches are required. Absolute bed rest and frequent followup is required. It there is any leaking or decreased feral movements, rush to your gynaecologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
