Does Abilify Cause Swelling In The Feet?

I have recently been put on abilify 2mg. I have been on the many years ago but can't remember why we changed. but my question is can it make you manic? and can it make your feet swell? I no there is a chance of weight gain but this is just the feet swelling. thank you

1. Abilify [aripiprazole] is an atypical antipsychotic medication used in the treatment of schizophrenia and acute manic episodes of bipolar disorder.

2. even if you have noticed slight swelling call your family physician or contact your psychiatrist right away [since blood clot is another issue which has to be excluded]

PS. As can't deduce your gender from the query, females on birth control pills are prone to blood clots [ so whatever be the gender a doppler ultrasound can be asked for]

3. I haven't observed/noticed/or heard of people having feet swelling with aripiprazole although agitation [mania] is a documented ADR [adverse drug reaction]
