Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have tremors. I have asthma and take singularity, advair 250/50, allergies taking claritin hypothyroidism taking .75 mcg of synthetic plus I am hypoglycemic. Take 1 mg lorazepam and 100 mg of Zoloft Would any of these medications alone or combined cause these tremors? Are there other medications that can replace one s causing tremors?
Stress and anxiety can be a potential cause of your tremors. When you become anxious, stressed or even angry, your nerves are heightened, causing shakiness. At the other side, it is true that some medications can cause tremors as side effect. Some people are more sensitive to medication than others. Asthma medications like your Advair, antidepressants like Zoloft, Levothyroxine and even antihistamines like Claritin can cause your hands to shake. Consult your treating doctor and discuss about the root cause of your actual symptom.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Elona Xhardo, Endocrinologist
