Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife took two Advil today about noon. She is now having frequent urges to urinate but very little urine comes out. I saw that Advil can cause changes in amount of urine. However, why did it take 8 hours to cause the problem ??? She is not taking any more advil. Will your advice be free or is there a charge ??? If there is a charge, I am not interested in continuing with consultation
This time, the consultation is free of charge. The very first thing is to understand why your wife took Advil today: - simple headache? - or any other abdominal issues (pain? other?)
Sometimes, headaches or painful situation on the body are associated with changes in emotional or psychological issues of the patient. Often, these changes are associated with frequent urge to urinate. Urine analysis though will determine if there is any urine infection or other issues.
It is also true that Advil will cause urinary changes, however, urine analysis will determine the right diagnosis.
All the best.
