Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was put on amlooipine besylate 5mg. I took a full tablet for 15 days had swelling so cut it to 1/2 tablets and the swelling continued so spot them all together, my doctor said it would take awhile to get out of my system. It has been 45 days and know change should I be concerned?
Hello, Yes amlodipine often causes ankle swelling. If it does not go away in a few months then try some support stockings and propping your legs up as often as possible. If that does not help you should have blood tests and possibly an echocardiogram of your heart to look for other causes Regards
