I am taking 10mg of amlodipine daily. I have lost 30 albs and an now experiencing pain in my lungs but no shortness of breath. The doctor i saw took me off amlodipine and put me on hydraclorizaide, My lung pain went away. My regular physician is on vacation. Ive been on amlopidine 5 years and have been having this problem for 5 years off and on thinking it was allergies or asthma causing the lung discomfort. I have really bad allergies. I now have been told by a doctor in the same office my problem is the amlopodine, what do you think
Amlodipine belongs to a group of medicines called calcium antagonists. It is used to treat: high blood pressure (hypertension). angina pectoris (pain in the chest caused by blockages in the arteries leading to the heart) or chest pain classed as vasospastic angina pectoris. It can cause palpitations and irregular heart beats.
