Does Amlodipine Cause Elevated Blood Sugar Levels?

I have been taking a new prescription, Amilodipine Besylate 10 mg, for 20 days. In the past I have controlled my blood sugar with Humalog sliding scale three or four times a day and 25 units Levemir at night. My blood sugar is nearly 300 and over 300 every time I check it, Never under 200. Is the Amilodipine causing my blood sugar problem.

Hi, Amlodipine is an antihypertensive medicine , it doesn't elevate blood sugar levels. Kindly check the dosage of your hypoglycemic medicine if blood sugar levels are not getting controlled.
