Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

Amlodipine is a drug that causes the blood vessels to dilate so it may cause swelling in the legs in some patients. It is generally not dangerous and in the moment you stop amlodipine, the swelling goes away. I would suggest you to talk with your doctor on this possible side effect of amlodipine so he may consider if you would better have another medication for hypertension instead of amlodipine.
It is generally not urgent so please don't stop it yourself but consult your doctor. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
