Does Amoxicillin Have Any Side Effects?

Hello, last week I went to the doctor s and they told me I had folliculitis from shaving. I had a cyst between my buttocks. They gave me Amoxicillin and I just finished it two days ago. The medicine made it burn when I peed, is that normal? Also, the cyst went away and reappeared, then did the same again, is it okay to remove my hair now?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to folliculitis. I suggest using hydrogen peroxide to clean the area and Neosporin cream for local application. I recommend for local treatment as long as the follicle is still infected. I suggest to avoid shaving during this period.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
