Ampilox is a combination of two antibiotics ampicillin and cloxacillin. It is used for treatment of bacterial infection. It is not used for prevention of pregnancy. It does not affect pregnancy. For prevention of unwanted pregnancy you have following choices 1. Oral contracetive pills – tablet Ovral – one tablet daily for 21 days of the month until desired 2. Intrauterine contraceptive device – you need to consult a gynecologist for insertion of copper – T 3. Condom 4. Long acting progesterone injection Thanks
