Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am experiencing periods of dizziness and my doctor has prescribed antivert. It seems to help. However, I recently experienced complications (unrelated to the antivert) from a bleeding ulcer. I have read that antivert may have an adverse effect on my ulcer. is that true? If so, are there other medications that treat dizziness???
Hi there, Thanks for using HCM. Antivert contains meclizine. It does not have any adverse effect on ulcers. You can continue taking Antivert. For ulcer you may have to get tested for H.pylori and if found positive , treat it.
I hope that answers your question. Regards.
