Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Arimidex Cause Joint Stiffness, Stuffy Head And Tingling Sensation In Fingers?
I am prescribed Arimidex and am experiencing joint stiffness, sporadic stuffy head and headache. When I wake I have a prickly feeling in my toes and fingertips. I am also taking an anti-seizure medication which also leaves me headachy and urinating more frequently (leading to loss of sleep) I am wondering if there is contraindication between these drugs as I m getting worse. I skipped a day on Arimidex 2x over a 3month period and felt much better on those days.
First of all, thank you for giving us an opportunity to serve you.the symptoms you had mentioned are clearly reported as the adverse effects of Arimidex.
Let me clarify that Arimidex has got no interaction with commonly used antiseizure medications.
So, the symptoms experienced by you are purely the side effects of Arimidex.
You need to report these to your treating doctor such that he/she can make adjustments in dosage or gradual escalation of dose to make you get adjusted to the drug.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Pallavi.m, Anesthesiologist
