Does Avent Nipplette Cause Blisters On The Nipples?

Hello, I have been using the Avent Nipplette for inverted nipple correction during first months of pregnancy and continuing to do so. I have noticed this has created blistering without pain. Is this normal? Why is this occurring and should I stop use? Is this just sweat or trapped moisture finding relief? Several water bubbles bursted.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to an allergic reaction. As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief.

If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
