Does Betamethasone Help Reduce Severe Rash While On Treatment For Melanoma Lung Cancer ?
I am the sole caregiver for my husband who has just received his second Yervoy treatment for melanoma lung cancer. He has developed a serious rash for which his oncologist has prescribed Betamethasone DIP .05%
Does this rash gradually disappear with continued treatment (he has 2 more)

Yervoy can be associated with different possible side effects, these effects may or may not occur. In terms of the skin the possible side effects are: (1) skin rash with or without itching
(2)sores in the mouth
(3)skin blisters and/or peels
The rash is likely to continue with the course of the treatment. If it worsens or becomes difficult to tolerate, it would be best to speak to his doctor again who may be able to suggest a possible treatment to help.
