My mother in law has had CLL for over 12 years. A recent lung mass FNA showed idiopathic metastatic melanoma. PET scans also show involvement in liver and bone. She's 64. Just started ipilimumab yesterday. What is her life expectancy? (with ipilimumab's success or not) Thank You YYYY@YYYY Adam
Ipilimumab is a good medication for treatment of melanoma. The overall survival rates for patients with metastatic melanoma who are taking ipilimumab is as follows: 12 months 45.6 percent 18 months 33.2 percent 24 months 23.5 percent
Hope your query is answered.
