Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 3.6 years old son has dry cough since morning and thick mucus is coming out from nose. I gave brozedex syrup once in the morning.... It will work? As one month back he had severe cough and doctor prescribed inhaler for that. I m concern that brozedex syrup will work this time?
The expectorant properties of the drugs make you son cough easily but does not stop the coughing. Your son need to cough in order to clear his airways from mucus.
Give the appropriate dose one teaspoon thrice daily to see the results. It will work but needs a couple of days for the real improvement to notice.
You can run aerosol therapy (inhaler) as it will help too.
Wish fast recovery! Dr.Albana
