Does Cetrizine Help To Alleviate The Swelling And Pain Under The Eye?

Hi I got a swelling under left eye and pustule on it . It happened right after cleaning the bathtub using tub cleaning liquid. Eyes feel heavy and little pain. It seems like bacterial infection and wont let me see laptop, TV or light...Is there any over the counter medicine that can help? I just bought citrizine ( zyrtec ) from walgreens.. would it help?

Sorry to tell you it won't help. You need an antibiotic. At least a topical one like mupirocin. Oral drugs may be needed if it doesn't decrease in a day ow two. Watch out when you clean up next time. Take ciprofloxacin along with augmentin if you require an antibiotic for five days.
