Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 64, and am on procardia 30 mg extended release, post stent to first diagonal of Lad. I have no other narrowing or blockages. I do however, take Citracal daily for osteoporosis. I am on procardia for keeping blood pressure down and minimal angina at site of stent. Is it a problem taking the extended release calcium supplement ? Thanks
You can safely take Citracal with Procardia, it will not interact with each other or does not cause any adverse events. Citracal is a calcium supplement and it has got no role in blood pressure.
Hope I have answered your query.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
