Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Clomid contains 'clomiphene', which is a non-steroidal
fertility medication. It causes the
pituitary gland to release hormones needed to stimulate ovulation for the release of an egg from the ovary.
Clomid is used to cause ovulation in women with certain medical conditions that prevent naturally occurring ovulation. However, the ovary should be functional and it needs to respond adequately for the stimulus caused by the drug.
Hence, the dosage is based on the medical condition determined by clinical examination and
ultrasound scan. The dose may be altered according to the response to therapy. Long-term treatment with this medication is not recommended and should not be used for more than 6 cycles.
Kindly follow the instructions as given by your doctor and do the necessary follow-up as suggested.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
